In a statement about the most recent Turkish army operations in Erzurum and Batman, People’s Defense Forces Press Office HPG-BIM reported that at least two soldiers died and three others were injured in the clashes that broke out as a result of operations.

Guerilla forces in Batman carried out an attack which targeted two military vehicles on Gerçüþ-Hasankeyf way on 15 June, said the statement and remarked that the operation launched in the area after the attack still continues.

HPG-BIM also gave information about another attack by guerrillas against a panzer vehicle on 16 June. The statement noted that the number of casualties couldn’t be determined and added that the operation in the area is expanding.
