Hundred thousand people will march to Gemlik for Öcalan

Members of the Confederation of Solidarity with Prisoner's Families (TUHAD-FED) are organizing a march on October 9, the anniversary of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan being forced to leave Syria as a result of pressure by international powers. The march, called “Freedom for Öcalan”, is expected to be joined by 100 thousand people and to be supported by the Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) and non-governmental organizations as well.

The march to Gemlik district of Bursa, where Öcalan is held in Ýmralý island, will start on October 8th from many points in Turkey.

Details of the march will be announced at a press conference to be held today.
