Tens of thousands in Cizre district of Şırnak have gathered outside the DBP (Party of Democratic Regions, formerly BDP) office and marched to the border as Kurds took to the streets across North Kurdistan in solidarity with Kobanê today.

After marching to the border, chanting slogans in favour of the YPG, the mass started to remove the border fences and to demolish and set fire to the military towers in the area, after which Turkish troops and police started to attack people with real bullets.

After removing the fences at the border, hundreds of people crossed into the Cizire Canton and joined the ranks of the YPG to fight against ISIS.
