On the occasion of Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice), people flocked to the graveyards of the martyrs in many cities of Northern and Eastern Syria. The relatives of the martyrs who prayed at the graves, paid tribute to the fallen by lighting candles.
In Aleppo, like in Manbij, after a minute’s silence, candles were lit on the graves of the martyrs.
Tribute paid to martyrs in Maxmur
In Martyr Rûstem Cûdî (Maxmur) Refugee Camp, the mass gathered in front of the Martyrs' Families Organisation on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and walked towards the graves of the martyrs accompanied by torches. During the march, the people chanted slogans such as "Bijî Serok Apo" and "Martyr Namirin".
After a minute’s silence in memory of the martyrs of the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, Sadik Heştanî said: “We wish this holiday to bring success, brotherhood, and the liberation of Leader Apo and Kurdistan.”
After the speech, candles were lit on the graves of the martyrs.
