Hunger strikers in the Hague have been visited by members of the Philippine National Democratic Front.

Hunger strikers in the city of the Hague in the Netherlands have been fasting for 79 days demanding the end of isolation imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Activists were visited by a delegation from the Philippine National Democratic Front headed by Jose Maria Sison.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Sison said: “I defend the ideas of Mr. Öcalan. We demand that isolation against Öcalan be removed as soon as possible. Mr. Öcalan's freedom is the guarantee of peace in the Middle East. On this basis we support the hunger strikers and their demand.”
