The Kurdish community in Armenia, as well as the Kurds living in the district of Elegez and Oktoberyan, went on hunger strike on Tuesday.
Fasting activists were visited by journalist and writer Mirazê Cemal.
Cemal said: “Leader Apo wanted the most basic human rights for Kurds, democracy and brotherhood of the peoples. I can’t see any reason why such a leader should be in prison and under strict isolation.”
Cemal called on the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) and all relevant institutions to fulfil their duties.
