IHD Istanbul co-chair released

Human Rights Association (IHD) Istanbul Branch co-chair, lawyer Gülseren Yoleri, was released after giving her statement. She had been taken into custody today.

IHD Istanbul Branch co-chair, lawyer Gülseren Yoleri, was taken into custody by two plainclothes police officers who came to her home around 3 pm on Thursday.

Yoleri, who was taken into custody on the grounds of statements she made, was taken to Sarıyer Police Station.

She was taken a statement there about a speech she made on 12 October 2019 during the action at the 759th week of the Saturday Mothers, which was attacked by police. In her speech, she had protested Turkey occupation of Rojava.

Gülseren Yoleri was released after giving the statement.
