Institutions in Russia: Kurds resurrected with the PKK

Kurdish institutions in Russia hailed the anniversary of the PKK's foundation.

Kurdish organizations representing the Kurds living in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) made a written statement and celebrated the foundation anniversary of the PKK.

The statement made by the International Union of Kurdish Institutions, the National-Cultural Autonomy of the Kurds of the Russian Federation, the International Organization of Kurdish Women and the Russian Yazidis Union Êzdîxan said that the Kurdish People's Leader and the PKK have recreated the Kurds.

The statement pointed out that the Kurds have gained their identity owing to the PKK, and that Kurds living in Russia and the USSR states were left vulnerable in the aftermath of the dissolution of the Soviets, but developed their own organizations thanks to the PKK's struggle.
