Demonstrations marking Peace Day on September 1 will be held across Turkey tomorrow.

The Istanbul Democratic City Council will organize a demonstration in the Kadýköy district of Istanbul. The demonstration will begin at 12:00 with thousands of people marching from Tepe Nautilus to Kadýköy Dock Square. The Labor and Democracy Bloc, Political parties, labor unions and professional associations will attend the march. At the square, Peace and Democracy Party co-chairs Emine Ayna and Filiz Koçali, and independent member of parliament, Levent Tüzel will give speeches at the meeting. Then, Koma Gulên Xerzan, Koma Agirê Jiyan and Cihan Çelik will sing songs.

The Peace Mothers Initiative, who work tirelessly for peace, had meetings today with journalists, politicians and NGOs concerning the September 1 Peace Day activities. The Peace Mothers will be at the peace demonstration shouting for peace.

September 1 peace demonstrations will also take place in the cities of Bursa, Ýzmir, Van, Diyarbakýr and Mersin.
