Iran issued a memo of protest to Iraq over PJAK

"Iran's embassy in Baghdad, in a memo of protest to the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has voiced protest over the PJAK's attacks," Danayeefar said.

He further called on Iraqi officials to adopt proper measures to confront PJAK, and added that Tehran is waiting for the Iraqi foreign ministry's response.

In July, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched a series of attacks on the bases of the PJAK near Iran's border with Iraq and suffered heavy losses.

At least 255 Iranian soldiers were killed including a general during the clashes in the border region.

Also three villagers reportedly killed by Iranian artillery fire in South Kurdistan.
