Following and despite the ceasefire declared by PJAK guerrillas on September 5, the Iranian regime has again begun to bomb Southern Kurdistan on Tuesday. Second officer of Revolutionary Guards, General Hussein Salami, remarked that operations would not be suspended until PJAK lays down arms or withdraw enough from the border.
Following the three-day lasting heavy clashes started by the Iranian army in Kandil on September 2, Kandil, Xinere and Xakurke regions were again bombed in the evening of September 13. Eight cannonballs hit the Serkan village, wounding two civilians in a house during the attacks in Kandil.
Making a statement today, General Hussein Salami said that “Our message is that Iran will not allow the existence of any terrorist group within its boundaries and will conflict with them till the end”. Salami marked that the Iranian attacks should be expected to continue unless the groups in the region lay down arms and draw away from their borders as distant as enough.
While Iranian officials demanded the “clarification” of the ceasefire in an earlier statement, General Salami did not said anything about the ceasefire declared by PJAK on 5 September.
Revolutionary Guards chief General Muhammad Ali Caferi remarked that “preventive operations of Iranian forces are continuing”.
