According to local sources, unidentified gunmen attacked a base of Basij, paramilitary affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, in the town of Nik Shahr in southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan. One Basij member was killed in the attack and at least five other IRGC guards were injured.

The IRGC issued a statement regarding the attack, and said: “In an attack in the town of Nik Shahr in Sistan and Baluchistan province, five of the Guards personnel were wounded and one was martyred.”
