Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are making further advances in the Operation Cizire Storm to liberate Deir ez-Zor territory from ISIS, which is ongoing for 45 days, facing increasing attacks from ISIS and Ba’ath regime forces.

ISIS gangs and Syrian regime forces carried out simultaneous attacks on the positions of SDF fighters in liberated areas Tuesday evening.

The ISIS attack that targeted SDF positions at Jafra Train Station was harshly retaliated and repelled by SDF fighters. 9 ISIS members were killed during the clashes in this area.

On the other hand, Syrian regime forces targeted the SDF positions in Jubeyla village with heavy weaponry, simultaneously with the ISIS attack, at around 17:30. SDF fighters retaliated the attack on basis of self defense. The village of Jubeyla is located 8 km northwest of Deir ez-Zor.
