Isolation protested in Hannover, Rennes and Vienna

Solidarity strikes demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan are continuing.

Hannover

Ronahi Women's Council in Hannover opened an information stand in Hannover city of Germany to explain about the protests taking place to demand the end of isolation against Abdullah Öcalan.

The two-day information stand was opened in front of Hannover railway station to draw attention to the hunger strike led by Leyla Güven 120 days ago.

“The demand of Leyla Güven and all the activists is the democratic demand of all the oppressed peoples” said women activists.

“We appeal to all states that don’t recognise the demands of the peoples and aid fascism. Stop this fascism and this lawlessness immediately. Remove the isolation against [Öcalan] the architect of peace and equality. We wish all the friends on hunger strike success.”

Rennes

Women from Zin Women's Association in Rennes organised a protest in Republique Square to support HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven who has been on hunger strike for 120 days demanding the removal of isolation imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Leaflets explaining the reason for the action and the demand of the hunger strikers were distributed.

Vienna

A solidarity action with the hunger strikers was organised in Vienna.

Meeting in Stephansplatz, Kurds and their friends carried photographs of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and Leyla Güven as well as other hunger strike activists.

Leaflets were handed out to passers by to explain the reasons for the hunger strike.
