Israeli attack on Syria: three pro-Iranian fighters killed

The Syrian Human Rights Observatory reported that at least three pro-Iranian fighters have been killed in an attack by Israel in Syria.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that two missiles at least fell on positions of the regime forces and Iranian militias in the vicinity of Aqraba area in the capital Damascus.

Regime air defenses have downed at least one missile before it reaches its target.

According to sources, ambulances rushed to the place where the Israeli missiles had fallen in Aqraba, which refers to fall of casualties.

While the Observatory stated that the fighter killed were Iranians, this information has not yet been confirmed by other sources.

Israel did not formally assume responsibility for the attack. Since the beginning of the civil war that broke out in 2011, Israel has carried out hundreds of attacks against Iranian targets and militias close to Iran.

On November 20, the Israeli army reportedly carried out a comprehensive attack against Syrian regime forces and Iranian Al-Quds forces. According to the Observatory, 26 fighters and two civilians, 16 of whom were foreigners, were killed in these attacks.

In July, 9 fighters, 6 of them Iranians, were killed in air strikes on the Dera and Kuneytra regions.
