In a written statement made, the KCDK-E said: "The genocidal Turkish state and its murderous army continue to use chemical weapons. In October, 17 freedom guerrillas were brutally murdered by chemical weapons. This silence, not taking a stand, means approving such horrendous crimes. To approach things as using banned weapons was normal, to remain silent and not taking a stand has no justification."
The statement added: "The OPCW, the UN and the other international institutions remain silent on the use of chemical weapons by the Turkish state and become partners in this crime.
We Kurds and friendly circles must be the breath and voice of the guerrillas as the children of the Kurdish people are killed by chemicals.
Today is the day to stand up everywhere against those who take our children's lives away.
We call on our people and their friends to step down from their work and mobilize and actively participate today, 20 October, in front of the European Parliament in Brussels against Turkey. Let's meet at Place du Luxembourg Brussel in front of the European Parliament at 10am.”
