KCDK-E condemned the deadly attack by the Turkish army in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq). At least eight civilians were killed in the bombardment of a picnic area near Zakho earlier today.
The Democratic Kurdish Society Congress in Europe (KCDK-E) released a statement condemning the Turkish army's massacre in southern Kurdistan. "The Turkish state has been making diplomatic efforts for its murderous war for weeks and has received international support. Today it has committed a cruel massacre in the village of Perex in the district of Zakho," said the KCDK-E, which further stated the following:
"Eight Arab civilians were killed in the bombing of a picnic area and there is an unknown number of casualties. The Turkish army wants bloodshed in Kurdistan and is committing massacres in agreement with the South Kurdistan Regional Government.
South Kurdistan is being occupied due to the cooperation of the KDP with the Turkish state. For this reason, children, women, the elderly and the entire civilian population are attacked. Civilians are openly murdered and the border area is depopulated. The collaborators of the KDP have not yet said a word about the latest massacre.
As KCDK-E, we condemn the massacre. We protest against the murderous Turkish state that is committing massacres against the peoples."
