KCDK-F called on everyone to participate in the demonstrations to defend Rojava that will be held on Saturday 23 July.
The KCDK-F said in a statement that “10 years ago, on 19 July 2012, the Kurds of Syria launched a fierce struggle to build what is now called the Federation of Northern and Eastern Syria-Rojava.”
The statement added: “In the midst of the Syrian crisis, an invaluable struggle and sacrifice resulted in the realization of a haven of peace that has always been the target of jihadist forces and Turkey.
Islamic State jihadists have massacred thousands of people, including hundreds in different European countries. These barbaric jihadists who abducted thousands of women and children and sold Yazidi Kurds on slave markets have always been supported by Erdogan's dictatorial regime. The latter provided all the logistical and material support necessary for the jihadist organization to carry out its barbaric crimes and terrorist attacks, both in the Middle East and in Europe.”
The statement continued: “The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fought these jihadists and defended the dignity of humanity. In this resistance, 11,000 men and women, Kurds and others, paid the ultimate price, sacrificing their lives, and 24,000 fighters were injured.
The YPG/YPJ (People's and Women's Protection Units) and the FDS fought for the freedom of all peoples, regardless of their faith (Yazidis, Christians, Muslims, etc.). Their relentless fight against obscurantism has undoubtedly enabled the peoples of Europe to live in peace. As for the peoples of Rojava, they have built together, despite the war and permanent aggression, a system of self-governance based on the coexistence of different communities and gender equality.”
The statement called on everyone to “participate in the actions in favour of the protection of the Rojava revolution that will take place on Saturday, 23 July in France and in many parts of Europe.”
