KCDK-E celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution and demands its airspace to be closed to prevent further Turkish attacks.
The KCDK-E co-presidency issued a statement to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution and to demand to close its airspace to prevent further Turkish attacks.
The statement reads as follows: "As you all remember, ISIS gangs that brutally killed thousands of people, also massacred dozens of innocent civilians in European countries. These barbarians ruthlessly attacked anyone who did not think like them, and brutally killed more than 10,000 people. They destroyed nature and history. Thousands of women and children were kidnapped. They sold Yazidi Kurdish women in slave markets. These barbarian gangs were organized by the dictator Erdogan and the Turkish state from the beginning. He provided all the necessary support for training, weapons and logistics. The Turkish state is officially responsible for the attacks in Europe and the massacre of thousands of civilians in northern Syria and Iraq.
The democratic forces of North and East Syria, including Kurds, Armenians, Arabs, Assyrians, Turkmen and people of different religions, fought against these barbarian gangs and protected the dignity of humanity. In this resistance, 11,000 men and women, Kurds and other peoples, paid the ultimate price, sacrificing their lives, and 24,000 fighters were injured.
The YPG, YPJ and Syrian Democratic Forces fought for the freedom of all peoples, Yazidis, Christians and other faiths. This struggle certainly served the peoples of Europe, enabling them to live in peace. A system in which peoples, beliefs and women live together equally and without discrimination has been built in Rojava.
The Kurdish people realized the wish and organized to provide the path that would lead them to freedom throughout Kurdistan. With the social revolution that took place, it ruled itself, together with all other peoples in that geographic area. The genocidal Turkish state wants to destroy this system and commit genocide.
The dictator Erdogan and the genocidal Turkish state want to carry out a massacre with warplanes and drones. All the attempts of the Turkish state, diplomatic attacks, all negotiations over interests will not be able to break the will of the Kurdish people. Humanity will continue to be with us. We call on all the people of Kurdistan and our friends to take action and mobilize so that the Rojava Revolution, the hope of humanity, will survive by embracing it, just like in the Kobanê resistance.
On the anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne, the invading Turkish state wants to re-occupy Kurdistan from Aleppo to Mosul-Kirkuk by calling it Misaki Mili. Turkish forces were defeated in the Metina, Zap and Avasin regions of South Kurdistan and now want to achieve victory by attacking Rojava. Let's defend the Rojava Revolution against the genocidal Turkish state on the anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne. Let's mobilize everyone for the marches to protect the Rojava Women's Revolution that will take place on July 23 in many parts of Europe, Australia and Canada, in the spirit of national unity, against all reactionary forces that want to massacre the Kurdish people and strangle the Rojava revolution.
In order to prevent massacres, everyone who says that they are a Kurdistani and a human must take action, saying that it is our demand to close the airspace of Northern and Eastern Syria. This is the common request of 33 parties in Rojava (North and East Syrian). We call on everyone who is in favor of freedom, equality and democracy to embrace the women's revolution in North and East Syria (ROJAVA) and the common life of the peoples.
Let's carry out all democratic actions and activities wherever you are, to demand the closure of North East Syria airspace and the implementation of a no-fly zone there. Let's get stronger by participating in the big hashtag campaign that will be held on Twitter again on July 23.
As KCDK-E, we call on our people to protect their lands, to protect the will of every Kurd, woman, child, young and old. We call on intellectuals, revolutionaries and everyone else who is on the side of humanity, to stand up for their friends, with a spirit of national unity and a determined stance, and to join the marches to be held in all countries on July 23."
