KCK calls for uprising against the AKP's attacks on Kurds

Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) Executive Council Co-Presidency has released a statement calling for uprising and resistance against the ongoing political-cultural elimination operations of the AKP state.

Remarking that the fascist-police forces of the AKP state have brutally murdered patriot Kurdish youth Rojhat Özdel after wounding and torturing him in Gever (Yüksekova), the KCK offered condolences to the Özdel family and all the Kurdistan people, vowing to keep Rojhat's memory alive by realising the building of free Kurdistan.

Recalling that 32 patriot Kurdish citizens were taken into custody in North Kurdistan and many among them were arrested, and 4 wounded fighters of the YPG were detained in Pirsus (Suruç) last week, KCK Executive Council Co-Presidency stressed that all these revealed the AKP state's policy over Kurdish animosity and the active support it is providing to the ISIS gangs.

KCK also pointed out that the AKP state was now targeting civilians with its racist and revengeful policies because of its failure to get over the defeat it faced in Kobanê which it had planned to bring down by leaving the Rojava revolution out of breath. The KCK stressed that dozens of patriots have been murdered by police since 6-8 October uprising but not a single security officer has been tried nor punished so far.

"The AKP state must immediately end the political elimination operations and the killing of Kurdish youths and resisting patriots. It will otherwise become a must for our people to practice their own law and counter arrests, and to exercise their fair right to self defense within an active, continuous and overall uprising", the KCK stressed.

Remarking that it was a necessity for the Kurdish people to develop uprising against the exploitative AKP state, KCK Executive Council Co-Presidency underlined that each detention and arrest must be responded with a new uprising and resistance, adding; “Despite the fact that the fascist police and security forces of the AKP are responding to stone-throwing children with bullets, the people of Kurdistan will never surrender and they will step up the struggle more and more.”
