KCK trial resume tomorrow in Diyarbakir

Six Kurdish politicians tried in the scope of the KNK (Kurdistan Communities Confederation) will be present at the twenty second hearing tomorrow as the last hearing had been postponed last week.

152 Kurdish politicians and human rights defenders (104 are actually in prison) stand trial for two years, will be tried at Diyarbakýr 6th Heavy Criminal Court tomorrow. While defense lawyers left the court room during the former hearing to protest against the court’s attitude, Chief Judge Menderes Yýlmaz announced to the empty courtroom the decision of the lawyers to walk out and suspended the hearing. Defendants Nizamaettin Onar, Zeynel Mat, Ihsan Sevitek, Abdurrahim Tanrýverdi, Adnan Bayram and Veysi Akar, whose proceedings could not be run due to the crisis during the former hearing, will be present at the hearing once again tomorrow.
