Releasing a statement on the recent developments in Syria, Kurdish Communities Union (KCK) Executive Council Presidency said that they supported the struggle of the Kurdish people in Syria and recently formed High Kurdish Council in West Kurdistan.
The Kurdish people demand their fair rights in the scope of Syrias democratic unity, said KCK and remarked that the Kurdish politics in Syria has paid great prices to end the policy of repression and denial for many years.
Calling attention to the importance of the Hewler Agreement signed two weeks ago, KCK underlined that; Kurdish organizations have taken a significant step by deciding to unite under the initiative of a high council which will act on behalf of Syrian Kurds.
KCK called on all Syrian Kurds to unite under this structure and urged all circles that side with a democratic Syria to respect and recognize the Kurdish unity and added the followings;
Our movement announces that it supports the unity formed by the Kurdish people in this territory and the struggle they give for obtaining their rights in the scope of a democratic and free life in Syria. It is a historic responsibility for the people in all parts of Kurdistan and all democratic circles to display the necessary support and solidarity on the way to build brotherhood, peace, an equal and free future in the Middle East.
