Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Vice President Nechirvan Barzani said that Border Guard Forces will be positioned at Iranian and Turkish borders.
Answering the questions of Rudaw paper about the meetings held in Tehran, Barzani stated that they are having talks with “all circles” in a "comprehensive diplomatic" manner about the bombardments in Federal Kurdistan Region and solutions to the problems at the border line.
Barzani, ignoring the military-political operations developed by the AKP government despite the PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan’s ceasefires and efforts for a peaceful solution, argued that the PKK is responsible for the current conflict-environment. Barzani asserted that the PKK has jeopardized the efforts between Turkey and Ocalan for a political and peaceful solution with the recent acts it has carried out. Barzani added that he considered the BDP’s boycotting the Parliament as a 'strategic mistake' and criticized the party’s attitude.
