Kışanak: HDP-BDP joined struggle is a new opportunity

Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) co-chair Gültan Kışanak said that the congress of People's Democratic Party (HDP) will unite the democratic opposition circles in Turkey and provide a strong democratic alternative for the peoples in the country

Kışanak noted that four deputies of the BDP, Sebahat Tuncel, Ertuğrul Kürkçü, Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Levent Tüzel, will be continuing their works in the HDP from now on in order to achieve a strong advancement in the party, as will be done by all other BDP members to strengthen the HDP and to carry it into the future.

BDP co-chair remarked that the HDP was a joint party made up of different political parties, groups, social circles and identities, and included the BDP as well. “This is the reason why our (BDP) deputies will be taking part in the HDP as the representatives of the BDP”., Kışanak remarked.

Kışanak added that the four deputies joined the HDK in line with the decision made by the executive bodies of the BDP following a series of talks at the Party Assembly and the central executive board.
