A KNK delegation consisting of Russia KNK representative Selahattin Soro, President of the Union of International Civil Kurdish Communities, Merab Şamoyev, Russian Kurdish National Cultural Federal Autonomy President Ferhat Patiyev and PYD Russia representative Ebd Selam Eli met Russian deputy Foreign Minister Mihail Bagdanov and Middle East and North Africa Section deputy chair Venyamin Şuvalov.

At the meeting there was an exchange of views on developments in Kurdistan and the Middle East.

Russian deputy Foreign Minister Mihail Bogdanov emphasised that talks with the Rojava Foreign Ministry representative Emine Osey were the first step in developing relations with the autonomous administration in Rojava. He said that Russia would continue to strengthen relations with the Kurds.

After a 90-minute meeting, the KNK delegation presented the officials from the Russian Foreign Ministry with a dossier containing information on the situation in Kobanê and 7 proposals.
