KON-MED calls on people to join march for Öcalan in Stuttgart

KON-MED called on people to join the march to be held in Stuttgart to demand freefom for Kurdish people's leader Öcalan.

In a written statement, the Confederation of Kurdistan Communities (KON-MED) in Germany said that "Öcalan's freedom will play a decisive role for the freedom of the peoples of the Middle East" and called on everyone to join the march to be held in Stuttgart tomorrow, 5 December, to demand freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The statement pointed out that the freedom campaign, launched by the KCK last September under the slogan "End fascism, occupation, isolation. Time for Freedom,” is being carried out throughout the world with many actions and activities.

KON-MED reminded that as a result of an international conspiracy “the Kurdish leader has been captured on 15 February 1999 and since then he has been held in isolation in Imrali.”

The statement added: “The freedom of Kurdish people's leader Öcalan will play a decisive key role for the freedom of all Middle Eastern peoples. Mr. Öcalan is not only an influential political figure who can solve the Kurdish issue, but the model of ​​democratic confederalism he proposes and that came to life in Rojava (North-East Syria) is a model that could serve many peoples."

KON-MED called on people to join the “central march to be held in Stuttgart on Saturday, 5 December at 3 pm in Lautenschlagerstr. We call on all the youth and women of Kurdistan in Germany, friendly revolutionaries, socialists, all our people to join."
