A group of Kurdish activists started a three-day demonstration in the Swiss city of Solothurn to expose the Turkish state’s genocidal attacks in Kurdistan.
The demonstration is organised by the Democratic Kurdish Community Centre (CDK), Pınar Women’s Commune and Revolutionary Kurdish Youth Movement TCŞ and TekoJIN.
The activists have set up a tent in Kreuzacker Square where they will expose the genocidal face of the Turkish state, demand the closure of airspace in Rojava, Maxmur and Shengal and provide information on the Rojava Revolution which has entered its tenth year under the threat of another brutal incursion by Turkey.
The activists are also collecting signatures as part of the international campaign to remove the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) from the list of terrorist organizations. Over a thousand international personalities got together in 30 countries responding to the call by the International Justice Initiative for the Kurds, to demand the removal of the PKK from the list of terrorist organizations. The campaign was launched on 13 December 2021 and is carried out in Europe, the US, Canada and Australia. The campaign aims to collect four million signatures. Signatures will be submitted to human rights institutions in the Council of Europe and the US. Since the beginning, the signature campaign has spread to many parts of the world and has received great support.
