A long march with the slogan "For the Freedom of Rêber Apo, Serhildan Together" will be held between the cities of Hannover and Hamburg between 5 and 11 September.
Kurdistan Students Union (YXK) and Kurdistan Women Students Union (JXK) called on everyone to join the long march demanding freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan that will take place in Germany between 5-11 September.
According to the statement, a long march with the slogan "For the Freedom of Rêber Apo [President Öcalan], Serhildan Together" will be held between the cities of Hannover and Hamburg between 5 and 11 September.
The statement said: "We invite all students, youth, intellectuals and everyone who feels responsible for our society to join the long march."
In the same statement, the students organizations drew attention to political and social crises in many parts of the world.
The statement also emphasized that "as young people living in the diaspora, we should stand up together and organize against the inhuman policies of the system."
Pointing out that the solution are Öcalan's ideas, the Kurdish student organizations said: "With his philosophy, Rêber Apo has enabled people all over the world to stand up against fascism. He has become the hope for an alternative life around the world."
The statement ended with the following remarks: "The system forces have made every effort to separate Rêber Apo and his ideas from our society by implementing the torture system they created. Because these ideas are a great danger to the system’ status quo. But Rêber Apo's philosophy has spread all over the world and has taken on an internationalist character for a long time. If we want to fight against fascism and establish an alternative system, we cannot do this without a serious struggle for the release of Rêber Apo. This should be the youth's first job.
Because we started young and we will finish young! For this reason, we urge all young people join our Long March protest this year and to show more clearly our connection with Rêber Apo against this inhuman system.”
