Kurdistan Students Union organised Solidarity Night with Rojava

Two thousand pounds of aid were collected during the Solidarity Night in London organized by the Kurdistan Students' Union (YXK) for Rojava.

The Kurdistan Students Union (YXK) and Heyva Sor organisted a Solidarity night with Rojava at King's College London University.

Dr. Alan Semo, journalist and artist Zehra Doğan, YPG former fighter Macer Grifford, and over 200 patriotic and democratic students from six different universities in Britain joined the night.

A panel and a video were also organised as part of the night. Speakers at the panel reminded of how a system of radical democracy has been established in Rojava, and how the attack carried out by Turkey is indeed an attack on that democratic system.

Speakers also pointed out that tens of thousands of people were forced to leave their homes and that cities were bombed by the Turkish state.

After the panel, two thousand pounds of aid were collected by YXK students and delivered to Heyva Sor. The Solidarity Night ended with the performance of artist Suna Alan.
