Kurds from across Europe are gathering in the French city of Strasbourg to attend a mass march and rally to condemn the 15 February 1999's international conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan on its 18th anniversary.
Kurdish people living in various cities of France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland and Austria are arriving in Strasbourg in buses before the beginning of today's massive demonstration.
The crowd gathering at the Boulevard de Metz next to the Strasbourg's Central Train Station (Gare Centrale) is expected to start the march at 10:00.
During the march and the rally to follow, demonstrators will voice their demand for the freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan who was taken captive as result of an international conspiracy on February 15, 1999, and urge the concerned international institutions, the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) in the first place, to fulfill their duty on the aggravated isolation the Kurdish leader is subject to.
