Kurdish institutions working in Armenia protested the Turkish state attacks on Shengal.
Representatives of Kurdish institutions working in Armenia and Kurds living in various cities of the country met in Yerevan's Republic Square (Hanrapetutyan Hraparak) to condemn the Turkish attacks against Shengal.
Photos of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan were carried by activists together with photos of the 4 YBŞ fighters who fell martyrs as a result of the Turkish attack on Shengal on 15 January. The activists marched to the United Nations building.
After a letter was delivered to representatives of the United Nations, Kurdish Union of Armenia co-chair and deputy Kinyas Hasanov, Kurdistan Committee co-chair Silo Dirboyan, Kurdistan Committee councilor Sêroj Çarçoyan and Hunermend Dîlbera Wekîl addressed the crowd and press.
All speakers underlined the need for Kurdish unity as well as the need to express solidarity to the Yazidi people.
