Kurds and their friends gathered in Leipzig to protest the fascist AKP-MHP regime and the attacks against Kurdistan.
The protest rally organized by Rojava Soli Bündnis and Women Defend Rojava was at Willi Brand Platz and saw the participation of Kurds and their friends. Women Defend Rojava, Young Struggle, ZORA, Internationalistiche Jugend and Kurdish youth made statements in the action.
The activists said: “The political genocide policies of the fascist AKP regime against Kurdistan polarize societies and lead to Kurdish massacres. The fascist regime, which entered the antidemocratic election process with these massacre policies, planned to intimidate the peoples of Kurdistan and Turkey in every field. We will continue our democratic resistance everywhere.”
The action also condemned the Iraqi army's attempts to besiege the Martyr Rûstem Cûdî Refugee Camp. Activists called on the United Nations to fulfil its responsibility and take a stance against the attacks targeting the people of Maxmur.
