Kurds living in the city of Limassol, Cyprus, took to the streets to protest the chemical attacks carried out by the Turkish state against the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas.
The Kurdish People's Assembly of Cyprus organised an action attended by Kurds as well as members of the Solidarity Commission with the Kurdish people of Cyprus. The activists got together in front of Limassol Municipality, carrying posters of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, as well as of the guerrillas killed in the chemical attacks by the Turkish state.
The action started with a minute’s silence in memory of all Kurdistan martyrs in the person of freedom guerrillas killed in the chemical attacks.
A member of the Committee of Solidarity with the Kurdish People of Cyprus addressed the crowd while the statements prepared by the Kurdish People's Assembly of Cyprus in English and Greek were read.
The statements underlined that the people will be on the streets every day until this brutality comes to an end, and called for everyone to unite around the Kurdish Freedom Guerrillas.
