An action was organized in front of the Prime Ministry in Downing Street. The protest was organised by the British Kurdish People's Assembly. Kurds protested the isolation imposed on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and the Turkish state's invasion attacks against the Medya Defense Areas in South Kurdistan.
The slogan "Shame on you Boris" [Johnson, the British Prime Minister] was among the most heard in the action. Activists demanded that the UK government immediately stop the bloody arms trade with Turkey and take a stand against the Turkish state's invasion attacks on Kurdistan.
In the speeches made on behalf of the British Kurdish People's Assembly and the London Kurdish People's Assembly, it was emphasized that the fascist Turkish state with its army, press and all political parties of the ruling bloc attacked the achievements of the Kurdish people.
Speakers also pointed out that the Turkish state carries out genocide policies against the Kurdish people. "The fact that it started the invasion attack on the anniversary of the Armenian genocide gives a clear message," said activists.
