Kurds in Toronto protest against Turkey’s genocidal attacks

Demonstrations in protest at the Turkish regime’s all-out war against the Kurdish people continue all around the world.

Kurds have taken to the streets in Toronto, Canada to protest against the Turkish AKP-MHP regime’s attacks against the Kurdish people and their elected representatives, as well as Turkey’s occupation attacks in various parts of Kurdistan territory.

Gathering at the Dundas Yonge Square, the crowd also remembered PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) Central Committee Member Kasim Engin who fell in an air raid of the Turkish army in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq) on May 27.

The demonstrators also displayed images of Kurdish youngster Barış Çakan, who was murdered in Turkish capital Ankara for listening to Kurdish music, and of George Floyd who was killed by a police officer in the US.

Chanting “Fascist Erdoğan”, the group denounced the Turkish state’s genocidal attacks and vowed to continue the resistance.
