Kurds in Europe have started a march in Strasbourg against Turkey's isolation of Abdullah Öcalan and fascist practices in Kurdistan.
Thousands of Kurds from across Europe, mainly Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands and Belgium, started to gather in the French city of Strasbourg as of early morning hours today to join the mass rally organized by KCDK-E and many Kurdish institutions in Europe.
After gathering in Place de la Bourse, where Strasbourg city municipality is located, thousands of demonstrators started the march to the central Place Kléber area, carrying banners condemning the isolation of Öcalan and seizure of Kurdish municipalities through the appointment of trustees.
A rally will be held in Place Kléber once the demonstrators reach the area after a march of 1 km.
The march is also joined by Shengal Diaspora Assembly executives who were on an indefinite – irreversible hunger strike between August 23 and September 13, demanding that the isolation of Öcalan be ended and status of Shengal be recognized.
