People's Democratic Congress (HDK) deputies Ertuğrul Kürkçü and Levent Tüzel have visited the people in Hatay's Reyhanlı district where dozens of people were killed and injured in twin blasts on 11 May.

Kürkçü wrote on his twitter account on Monday that the local people in Reyhanlı think it is not the Syrian regime but the Free Syrian Army that is behind the deadly attacks that hit the district two days ago. Kürkçü said that the local people also believe the Syrian refugees had been warned before the attacks which -he adds- they had been waiting to happen at any time.

Kürkçü also noted that nobody in the town had doubts about the government's responsibility for the deadly explosions.

He added that the people were worried that the sabotage attacks may spill over into the province of Antakya (Hatay), causing a conflict between Alewis and Sunnis in the region.
