Leyla Güven taken into custody in Hakkari

The Kurdish politician was taken to the anti-terror branch of the police department to give a statement after attending a series of events in Hakkari.

Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair Leyla Güven arrived yesterday in the Hakkari province where she joined a press briefing with Peace Mothers to call for peace and visited the tradespeople.

After the Free Women’s Movement (TJA) campaign “Em Xwe Diparêzin” [We Defend Ourselves], Güven left the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) headquarters today afternoon.

The Kurdish politician was stopped on her way home and taken to the anti-terror branch of the police department to give a statement.
