Local people revolted against ISIS in Hamam Alî town close to Giyare district in Iraq’s Ninova province. There are violent clashes between the insurgents and the gangs.

While the operation the Iraqi Army Forces and the Peshmerga launched inches along, the local people have hanged Iraqi flags on former government buildings and central locations and started fighting ISIS gangs in Hamam Alî town located between Giyare and Mosul. The town’s residents, mostly Sunni Arabs, revolted against the gangs, encouraged by the Iraqi army entering Giyare.
