Long march against isolation started in Germany

A long march has been launched in Germany to protest against the isolation of Abdullah Ocalan.

A two-day long march kicked off in Duisburg, Germany to protest the aggravated isolation imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan and to support the hunger strike activists. The march began today following a minute of silence in front of the Kurdish Democratic Society Center (DTKM).

The first group of marchers started from Bonn-Cologne-Düsseldorf and the other in Duisburg. The activists will meet in front of DGB Haus in Düsseldorf on February 9, will march towards the Parliament and hold a rally there.

Starting from the morning, German police attempted to prevent the participation of marchers by blockading the DTKM. During the press statement in front of DTKM, the police tried to provoke the marchers by trying to remove the Ocalan posters they were carrying.

Today's long march will be completed at 4pm with a rally in front of the Duisburg central train station. Tomorrow at 10am the march will continue on the second day.
