Long March demanding Freedom for Öcalan will take place in Germany from 11 to 16 September

The preparation committee for the Long March to be held in Germany on 11-16 September to demand freedom for Abdullah Öcalan and the end of the isolation and torture system in Imrali issued a statement to call on all young Kurdish and internationalist activists to attend.

Young activists will gather in Essen on 10 September and will begin the Long March from there the next day. The six-day march will end in the city of Aachen on 16 September.

In a statement, the organizers recalled that Abdullah Öcalan has been kept under heavy isolation conditions in the high security prison island of Imrali since February 1999 and called on all young people to join the march.
