Long March for Öcalan in Gothenburg on day 2

The two-day march protests the international conspiracy and isolation against Abdullah Öcalan.

Kurds and their friends organised a two-day march in Gothenburg, Sweden to protest the International Conspiracy that led to the capture of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan at its 20th anniversary, and the isolation regime imposed on him by the Turkish state.

On the first day of the march, the activists covered 21 km before reaching the Democratic Kurdish Society Centre. The mass launched the second stage of the march from the Kurdish association towards Gothenburg city centre this morning.

The march is promoted by the Gothenburg Democratic Kurdish Society Centre and Rojava Committee. Throughout their route, the activists are chanting slogans like “Freedom for Öcalan, status for Kurdistan”, “Bloody hands off Öcalan”, “Remove the isolation”, “Leyla’s demand is our demand”, “Jin jiyan azadi” [Woman, Life, Freedom], and “Turkish army out of Kurdistan”.

The two-day march will end with a massive rally to be held in the city center this evening.
