Man detained near Prime Minister's office - UPDATE

Interior Minister Muammer Güler said a man was detained and not shot near the Prime Minister's office earlier today. The Interior Minister said the man was not carrying a bomb device and that he had psychological problems.

Turkish police fired in the air and detained a man who tried to breach a security cordon near Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's offices on Thursday.

Reports of the man been shot were not true, said the minister. The man was identified as 52-year-old Tuğrul B.
