58 years old father of 13 Celal Yıldırım was wounded along with two other people in the attack on September 3 when soldiers raided the Bağlan (Mişrif) village in Amed’s Lice district, and has now been taken from the hospital and detained before his treatment was completed. Münir Serin and Celal Yıldırım’s son Bedran Yıldırım had previously been detained as well.
Yıldırım was shot and heavily wounded by the soldiers and has now been taken in custody from the Selahattin Eyyubi Public Hospital where he was receiving treatment. His family have been waiting in front of the hospital for days, but police and soldiers didn’t allow them to see him. Yıldırım was taken into custody despite being seriously wounded and was reportedly taken to the Diyarbakır Province Gendarmerie Command.
Yıldırım’s brother Mehmet Yıldırım said he was detained before his treatment was completed and the family is concerned for his health. Yıldırım said the statements made by state officials for the last few days turned his brother into a target and added that his nephew and Münir Serin have been in custody for days but all three are civilians.
