The Long March that was launched from Mannheim, Germany to Strasbourg, France on February 5 with the motto “Liberate Leader Apo, Liberate Kurdistan, Liberate Life” to demand freedom of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and status for Kurdistan, has entered its fifth day.

Kurdish youth gathered at Rastatt Marktplatz around 08:00 and began the fifth day of their march with enthusiasm around 09:00. The demonstrators are marching to Achern today.

A group of youths went to Rastatt Municipality in order to inform officials about the conditions of Öcalan. Meeting with municipal officials continues.

The youth marching for Öcalan’s freedom have covered a distance of 107 kilometers so far. The youth are planning to reach Achern after a walk of 30 kilometers today.
