As the Long March for Öcalan that began in Mannheim continues towards Kehl, the Organization Committee called for participation in the march and rally in Strasbourg.
The march led by the Free Youth's Movement and Young Women’s Organization, that began with the motto “Let's smash the occupation, liberate the Leader” from Mannheim to Strasbourg on February 5 has entered its sixth day. Kurdish youth spent last night in Achern and resumed their march from Achern's Mark Square today. The Long March will end with the final march and rally that will take place in Strasbourg on February 11.
The Organization Committee has called upon all Kurdish patriots to join tomorrow's rally and march in Strasbourg in order to demand freedom for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who was captured by the Turkish state and international powers through a conspiracy on February 15, 1999. The committee condemned the conspiracy and said "Let us liberate Leader Öcalan on the 18th anniversary of the conspiracy.”
Participants of the march who have covered 137 kilometers so far are planning to reach the town of Kehl located 26 kilometers away from Achern this evening.
