March against Turkish invasion in Paris banlieu

A rally was held in the Parisian suburb of Villeneuve Saint Georges against the Turkish state invasion attacks against Southern Kurdistan. The protesters also commemorated KCK General Presidential Council Member Diyar Xerib.

A rally was held on Friday in Villeneuve Saint Georges, Paris to protest the invasion attacks against Southern Kurdistan.

Kurdish protesters held signs that read “Invaders, traitors, fascist Turkish state out of Kurdistan” and chanted “Down with the fascist Turkish regime”, “Freedom for Ocalan”, “Martyrs never die”, “Down with Erdogan” and “Political solution for Kurdistan”.

A minute’s silence was held for the Kurdistan freedom martyrs and Paris Democratic Kurdish Social Center Co-spokesperson Necmettin Demiralp gave a speech, condemning the invasion and plot carried out in collaboration with the KDP.

Demiralp said: “Here today we are sadly gathered to protest the treason of Kurd against Kurd. It pains me to say that Kurdistan’s history is full of treason. Since the Med Empire, the Kurd has always betrayed himself and his treason has been a determining factor. The only reason for defeat has been betrayal. The fact that this betrayal continued to this day and couldn't be torn out is due to an organized institutionalisation that has turned itself into a party with international components.”

Demiralp also spoke about Diyar Xerib who lost his life in an airstrike on July 5: “Our revolutionary comrade Martyr Diyar Xerib was the foundation of a national movement, a uniting person and a socialist character. He was killed in Southern Kurdistan along with two of his comrades due to the collaborating traitors’ connections to the Turkish state and intelligence.”

Demiralp stressed that Southern Kurdistan is under a de facto occupation by the Turkish state: “Still they blame the PKK. This much immorality, such treason has maybe never been seen in history. You fight against colonialist powers, your valiant children will shed their blood, and they still blame you! Because the fascist hegemons want this power structure to continue. And in Kurdistan there is one family that has held power for 30 years.”

Demiralp called on those who had a part in the plot against Xerib: “Whoever it is that supports you, whatever colonialist power in the world, Leader Apo’s philosophy is undefeatable. This is a will of steel. We will fight until victory. Down with treason.”

A statement was passed out about the invasion, the plot and the martyring of Xerib and his comrades.
