Meeting with PKK Leader Öcalan postponed
A meeting expected to be held by the HDP (People's Democratic Party) delegation today with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan has been postponed until Tuesday 30 September.
The HDP Press Office has issued a written statement, announcing that the meeting which was expected to be held by the HDP delegation on İmralı Island with the PKK (Kurdistan Worker's Party) leader Abdullah Öcalan has been postponed until Tuesday 30 September due to adverse weather conditions.
The HDP delegation went to Kandil and held 2 days of meetings last week, then held meetings with the government.
Last week the KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) drew attention in particular to the stance of the government regarding ISIS gangs, stating that "the attack on Kobanê means the environment of non-conflict no longer exists".
After all these developments, statements to be made by PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan are being eagerly anticipated.
