Nikolaj Villumsen, Member of the European Parliament representing the Red-Green Alliance Enhedslisten from Denmark, spoke out against the police operation against Kurdish TV studios, Medya Haber and Sterk TV in Belgium last night.

In a statement on his X account, Villumsen said: “Erdoğan’s oppression has no place in the EU! We need to defend media freedom against the onslaught of authoritarianism - whether if is from Russia or Turkey. Journalists should be protected - not arrested!”
