A remarkable acceleration is being observed in the activities and provocation attempts of the Turkish military at Rojava border in the wake of the threats uttered by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan against PYD and YPG in Antep province on October 24.

Residents of the Deşta Şadiya village in Raco district of Efrîn told that Turkish soldiers have started to lay mines at the border of Sorka village for the last two days.
A civilian from the village of Sorka, said he himself witnessed the Turkish soldiers laying mines on both Rojava and Bakur sides of the border. Soldiers also threatened the villager saying that; “Neither you nor animals will get close to the border”.
On the other hand, a reliable source from Xerab Camûs village of Hatay's Kırıkhan district reported military build-up by the Turkish army at the border. According to the same source, Turkish soldiers are also laying mines at the border of Efrîn canton and continued to build a 'wall of shame' in Cindirêsê district across the Atme camp controlled by Al-Nusra gangs.
